Mirrodin Besieged Game Day

The Tavern Extends an invitation to all Planeswalkers to their Game Day Celebration, where we make a stopover in the plane of Mirrodin to visit one of the most Contested Warzones that has recently begun to see signs of battle fatigue.
This Game Day will also Be the start of the Mirran vs Phyrexian Standard League for the Tavern's Bragging rights and extra Prizes for the Leaguers.

Excerpt From the Diaries of A Mirran Crusader
"Dear Diary, 
As the war to protect our homelands against the the metallic beasts known only as the Phyrexian Scum, we at the front-lines and constantly under threat seldom get time to sit down and write. 
Everyday seems bleaker than the one before it, as more and more of our men lie heavily wounded in the healer's tents; yet the Phyrexians don't seem to let up.
This morning we received news that the cavalry that formed our reinforcements and relief party was waylaid near the coastline on their way to the front. As they say, sad news travels fast and in minutes this news set the morale of the entire resistance down. However the Couriers from Koth have also arrived telling us that there's a  second wave of reinforcements arriving in from another plane. News of having Planeswalkers enlisted to our aid was very refreshing, and stoked the spirits back into many broken souls. There would be hope, Planeswalkers from "Earth" are coming!
Alas, The Battle gong has sounded. Time to make a warm welcome to our new planeswalking Visitors!"

"Advance Scouts just filed in, received reports that the Priests of Norn have been very effective in their methods. However, the resistance seems strong and shows no signs of breaking anytime soon.
The advance scouts have also announced that they have a second wave of reinforcements that will be arriving from an unknown source. This is interesting news, we have not been able to retrieve any such data from Subject K78A66R00N. Also, after the successful breach of the initial set of reinforcements, there seems to be much activity that interferes with the local mana bonds on our side of the battlefield. Many new beings seem to be arriving through the Aether. No matter, they shall be of little consequence once the Priests get down to "Teaching" them what it means to live the life blessed by the oil.
