Monday Night Magic

Feel sad on mondays? Having the monday blues?

Well, look no further than The Tavern as we'll be hosting casual rounds of magic for both veteran and new players alike! The winner will also go home with a little deck box to fit his deck in. Newer players will be exposed to more ideas and practice while the veterans can try out new theories and deck builds while maintaining friendliness.

The Tavern is Bringing back Pauper~~
Ladies and Gentlemen, the format that rules them all, every single deck out there consists of at least 5% of the cards that are Pauper Legal.
So once again The Tavern, Signature Park is proud to play host to the Pauper Championship~~

The championship will start at the Journey into Nyx Release Party (4/5/2014)
and will be held for a month When the Journey into Nyx Game day begins
The Format will be Block Pauper Constructed so the cards that are legal will be from Theros till Journey into Nyx

wah today's card, i've never seen such a broken card in a trial deck before

After you play the climax, you can gain one hand size already and pump 2k to one character, assuming that you pump the 2/1. Then climax combo with the 2/1 Ryuko, you can search for a card from the waiting room and pump this card another 4k. So this card can go up to 13.5k in just base power AND you get to regain hand size. Well then, she is powered up by life fibers, so yeah XD

the Signature Park Tavern

Okay, the cards for loghorizon, when combo'd together, you'd basically get a 0 cost 9k base power, though you'd still need Shiroe cards on the field. but yarh, 0 COST 9K BASE WTF??? 

For KanColle today we have a nice ability, basically when you're full field, this card will be 9.5k. A 1 cost conditional 9.5k? pretty nice for a TD card. 

MIKISUGI AIKURO

Today we have stuff from Kill la Kill and LogHorizon.

Vanilla~~~

Choose 1 of your opponent character that is Level 3 and below, during next stand phase, that character cannot STAND. Choose 1 of your character, during this turn, power +2000.

Well then, its funny cuz Mikisugi's traits are <<Sensei>> and <<Narcissist>> . i like the fact that they didn;t give him a clothing trait, since a whole trial deck usually has 1 common trait. GJ 

As for the loghorizon one, i still haven't watch the show yet, i know i'm waiting for it to end so i can marathon. But the effect matches the flavor text, and yes, like how this guy controls the battles, this card controls the play field. 

KAMUI SENKETSU

Well then, a 1/0, pay 1, drop one hand. Like senketsu, to wear him, you need to let him suck your blood. but then you get to retrieve characters, which also mirrors the fact that he needs a host to bind to. A good card to shape your hand properly when you have too many trash cards.

【A】When this card is being front attacked, look at the top card of your deck, you may place it into the waiting room or the top of your deck. 

Well as far as I know, this Shiroe from LogHorizon has his shit planned really really well, so this card really pays tribute to the character by disabling your opponents from countering this card AND the increasing the chance of cancelling the damage it takes. It'll be interesting to see how this deck plays, heck, this card is a trial deck exclusive only. 

KIRYUUIN SATSUKI

Today's card of the day we have KIRYUUIN SATSUKI, and Choukai from KanColle

【C】During opponent's turn, this card +1000 power. 

【C】 All of your characters gain +1000 power and +1 Soul (Book: When this card is triggered, you may draw a card) 

【A】When one of your other 《艦娘》 attacks, for that turn, this card gains +1000 power. 

Still getting stock effects, but KIRYUUIN SATSUKI

Can't comment much on the relevance of today's Kill la Kill card to the anime, because the effect is a stock TD effect. Pretty general, but still useful, as it allows you to retrieve one character from the waiting room, albeit doing so at 3 Cost. At least you get to keep you hand size.

 Today's LogHorizon is just a vanilla, so yeah.

Well i personally haven't watched LogHorizon yet and never played KanColle even if i wanted to. But yeah the KanColle card today has a nice free encore effect.
