alutations, everyone. Welcome to the Planeswalking Peddler’s official Magic: The Gathering Tutorial. This series of tutorials will be aimed mostly at beginners, but in the later episodes as we get the fundamentals out of the way, we’ll dive deeper into the twist and turns of the game and what advantages you can evoke from the rules.

And before that I suppose I should take time to introduce myself. You may call me Aihiave, or Ai if it’s easier. I have been a long-time player of Magic since 1998, but decided to be more a collector rather than delve into competitive play. The game has been a passion to me as a fount of inspiration for my writing more than as a contest of skill and judgement. Nevertheless I keep myself updated with the latest rules.

And now, on with the show.

The Peddler's Back From SINGAPORE again

The Planeswalking Peddler has recently returned from Singapore, and will be going to the city state once more in the next week. Therefore the Peddler apologizes for the lack of his appearances all over the local vicinity of PJ and KL.
There has been new stocks coming in to the Tavern because of these trips and there will be an update on the stocks soon :)

Also the introduction to magic column will return with the works written by a very close friend of the Peddler's.
He's known as Aihiave and is a very flavourful writer, therefor The Peddler hopes that he will help the new players learn more and allow the veteran players to refresh their memory with the inclusion of this weekly column :)

FNM Delays

Dear All,
Due to a score of unexpected events, this Friday's FNM is delayed till 1130pm before it will start.
This is partly due to the peddler heading out of town to attempt to gather new stocks.
The Peddler sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused, therefore this week's FNM will be at RM 6 instead of the usual RM 8.

Thursday night Feva

Ladies and gentlemen, you are all cordially invited to the Tavern's Thursday nite Magic Fiesta.
Where free sausages will be given out to all MTG players who join in the festivities.
Its the perfect thing for all you people who are also puasa-ing :)
The event starts after 830PM at The Tavern, bring along your friends who have never been to The Tavern before for some surprise gifts.

For those of you who have no Car of their own, the Metrobus number 99 stops in front of the Tropicana Hospital nearby Cova Square.
The Planeswalking Peddler is offering to pick u guys up from there if he can and if u let him know :)

Also this Tuesday and Wednesday the Tavern will be closed in the morning till nighttime, please call 0122742916 for more info.

Puasa Month

Ladies and gentlemen, the peddler wishes all of you best of luck in Puasaing throughout the Puasa month of Ramadhan. The peddler is also trying his best to puasa too, :P hopefully he will survive the trials :P

Also as an acknowledgement of the Puasa month, all events in the Tavern are to be held as USUAL :P because we start mostly after 8pm. 

The Tavern is also discussing about hosting 'Sahur' events, so for those with knowledge and are interested to Sahur with us please comment on here or in Facebook so we can set up a proper event and gathering :)

Surprise on Sunday

This Sunday, the Tavern is working with the Peddler to come up with an interesting new twist to usual MTG nights.
Therefore, all MTG players are invited to come and join in this Sunday's events which will start after 6pm.

Promo Tour Success

Thank you to all participants of the Promo Tour and all players for their assistance and patience.
The Planeswalking Peddler's shop, "The Tavern" will be closed for half a day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to fully rest from the tiredness of the past Weekend
Business will continue as usual after 6pm on Tuesday till Wednesday and will be open after 12pm on Thursday
Since there has been a request, the business hours of The Tavern has been updated.

Operating hours (effective from Thursday 5/8/2010)

Weekdays, 10pm - 2am
Saturday, 9am - 3am
Sunday, 9am - 12 am

Note: These operating hours are not set in stone, we are still open at all times. These hours are just set up for your viewing convenience.
